Teresa speaks about her inspiration and her process:

I make paintings that pay homage to the spirituality I find in nature. Imagery is intentionally simplified. Emphasis is given to the emotional impact of color. Often my paintings evoke something ethereal: a landscape or seascape with a dreamlike quality. I work in two mediums, pastel and acrylic. The lush, velvety texture of pastel lends itself to an empyrean, atmospheric effect. Acrylics, with many textural additives available, provide an exponential opportunity for creative exploration. Moving back and forth between these mediums keeps me creatively charged as each body of work informs the other.
