Solar Tide

I started this painting by mixing and laying in color, then responding to what emerged, and continuing that conversation with each layer. Even when I don't begin with a specific image in mind, my paintings inevitably evolve into landscapes or seascapes. 😊

This one celebrates the warm light, and the lush abundance of summer. I sealed this painting with a self leveling medium resulting in a high gloss finish with a resin-like quality.
